Founded in 2019, we are a documentary studio based in the Bay Area with a focus on making films about art and artists.  We’ve worked on projects across the Unites States, and every project is approached differently.  Sometimes we make films for other people, sometimes we make films independently.  Sometimes we collaborate with bigger studios, and sometimes we handle all parts of a project on our own.  Despite different means to an end,  all projects have a common DNA— lots of heart and strong story.

So, why the name Hypothetical? Because naming a production company is extremely difficult. But also, we love project dreaming…. all the whatifs and whatabouts.
